A is for...

...Azalyn, Empress Goza the 16th of the Holy Raalgon Empire.

For those who aren't up on your totally obscure but utterly wonderful 90's anime (shame on you, shame), she is the young, recently orphaned empress of the alien race antagonizing the United Planet Space Force in what has got to be one of my top five favorite anime ever, Irresponsible Captain Tylor. She's a spaz and kind of a rich spoiled brat, but she's also adorable and needs a friend and a hug. Also she doesn't wear pants. (And for those who know the show, here she's forgoing her royal cape in favor of Tylor's captain hat, his boots and his signature smiley pin.)

Anyway, the first in what I hope to be a daily series of drawings of characters whose name begin with the letter of the alphabet I'm on. Done in watercolors, and if I may say so myself, I did a much better job than last time I tried to watercolor. XD Also, look how I'm not trying to disguise anatomical issues with clothing! She's like half naked! *sparkles*

Also, JPEGs seem to be giving me some bizarre trouble today...? If the image shows up with a weird line across the middle, please let me know.
